Ships and Boats of the Thames

The Thames is so much a part of London they would be impossible to separate.
One of the best experiences of being in London is to take a trip from Parliament Pier to Greenwich. I've done it three times in my life and enjoyed it each time. Here are some photos of boats and ships one might see on the trip.

The boat to Greenwich

A reconstruction of Drake's Golden Hind (the ship not his butt)

The cruiser HMS Belfast which served in WWII and the Korea War playing a leading part in the destruction of the battle cruiser Scharnhorst, and also the Normandy Landings.

An English canal boat

An old work horse of the Thames.

We are thoroughly enjoying the tour of England, especially through your eyes Scott. These pictures bring me back to the canals of Holland.
